Asian styrene monomer price rose 50c/mt to
$990.00-1000/mt CFR China. The FOB Korea marker increased 50c/mt to
$990.00/mt. Ex-tank: This equates to approximately $1,001.59/mt. The People's Bank of China established the
dollar-yuan exchange rates at 6.9861 Dec. 20. A source stated that Chinese
domestic term negotiations in 2022 took 'a lot of work' as compared to
2022. Although FOB contract prices increased by about
Yuan 10, contracts that were delivered were Yuan 10-Yuan 20/mt less than
2021. Another source stated that east China's domestic
inventories fell slightly to 78,000mt from 80,800mt Dec. 16. This was
mainly due the fewer shipments arriving in east Chinese ports. The market's
