export prices on the Asian PET market, as demand continued to decline amid
seasonal lulls. Most
market sources said that Januaryloading of PET chips in bottle grade was not
being discussed. This is because buyers wanted to get cargoes before the Lunar
New Year holiday in China. Some producers
offered February-loading shipments but they were not met with much interest
from buyers who were content to wait and see amid low demand for finished
goods. Market uncertainty was also caused
