(APET) prices were mixed week-on-week Feb. 8 with the RPET clear flakes
premium-grade FOB Southeast Asia valued $10/mt less day-on-day at $950/mt. R-PET continues to
experience some relief from recent bearishness, with buying enquiries improving
slightly from the lows in end-2022. Recyclers,
especially those who are willing to lower their offer levels were reported to
continue to receive high volumes of export inquiries. However, overall demand remains weak and most industry
players agree that price recovery will likely be gradual. Firming PET prices in virgin could partially explain the
positive effects. However, feedstock prices are rising and so will the prices
