Asia PE prices continue to fall amid near-term uncertainties / New Middle East Offers for the Month / China's PE Imports Fall 16.92% MoM in March

Prices of polyethylene in China and Southeast Asia fell during the week ending April 23 as purchasing appetite weakened amid geopolitical uncertainty. In both China and Southeast Asia, fresh Middle East offers were heard for the month. Buyers continued to monitor US tariff developments, resulting in lower offer levels and buying signals month-over-month. HDPE and LLDPE films CFR Southeast Asia were down $25/mt from week to week, at $895/mt et $950/mt respectively on April 23.
