Due to tight spot supply, the Asian
propylene market rose on February 21. The April ICE Brent crude oil futures contract
for April was $0.02/b higher than the Asian close of $83.74/b at 0830 GMT. Northeast
Asia has seen tight propylene supplies due to many crackers cutting run rates
after weak ethylene margins. A major South Korean propylene
manufacturer stated that South Korea was a very tight market. China's
Zhejiang Petroleumchemical plans to restart its 260,000 mt/year No. 2
Acrylonitrile Plant in Zhoushan (Zhejiang Province), around March 25, after
