The Asian polyethylene market rose during the week ending June 18 as crude oil prices increased due to tensions between Iran, Israel and other Middle Eastern countries. HDPE film increased by $25/mt over the past week to $870/mt, LLDPE rose $25/mt over the last week to $860/mt, and LDPE film grew $20/mt over the last week, all at Far East Asia. LLDPE, LDPE and other plastics were subject to significant price changes on the Chinese domestic market. LLDPE prices were up Yuan 335/mt (46.68 USD) on a week-over-week basis at Yuan 7,485/mt, ex works east China. This was due to the consecutive price increases since June 16.
