The week ended July 13, with largely
unchanged fundamentals, and Asian PET market sentiment was stable. According to market sources, the operating rate
of PET chips in bottles remained at 90% in China. Although
sellers said that demand was stable, discussion levels were slightly lower week
to week due to falling prices for mono ethylene glycol (and purified
terephthalic acids) and feedstock mono ethylene glycol (and other factors such
as the fall in feedstock mono ethylene glycol). Sources said
that PET inventories were low as many lots for August-loading shipment
shipments were sold in the late June and early days of July. As low
