The week ended Dec. 7 saw a slight drop in
export prices on the Asian PET market, as demand continued to decline amid
seasonal lulls. Most market sources said that
January-loading of PET chips in bottle grade was not being discussed. This is
because buyers wanted to get cargoes before the Lunar New Year holiday in China. Some
producers offered February-loading shipments but were not met with much
interest. Buyers were waiting to see what happens in the face of low demand. Market
