The
spot export price for US acrylonitrile was assessed at the same level as in the
week ending May 16. The spot price fell 7.99% from April 11,
but was stable the second week in a row. A
source stated that once propylene settles, we might see some movement. If propylene falls, we may see a drop in prices. The price of spot polymer grade propylene increased by 2.49%
over the past week after it fell to its lowest level in four months at 34
cents/lb on May 11. Upstream, the spot
ammonia price has been stable. However, it could drop due to a lack of demand. A second source stated that the ammonia market had not
changed since the beginning of the month. We'll
probably see another drop...
