The prices for paraxylene,
mixed xylenes, and nitration grade toluene continue to drop. September Nitration grade
toluene was 344 cents per gall at FOB US Gulf Coast, 10 cents less than the
previous day. Intercontinental Terminals
Company Deer Park made an offer for 345 cents/gal. In line with September's market indications, forward-month
October was also 344 cents/gal. September
FOB USGC mixed-xylenes was 344c/gal. This was based on a 345c/gal offer, ITCDP,
which is 10 cents less each day. The
October and September prices were assessed at the same level. Spot paraxylene prices dropped $16.66/mt from $1,053.34/mt
FOB USG. As the US paraxylene market
continues to decline, PX margins were low and benzene prices more than halved
from July 1....
