leading up to Nov. 9. The ICE January Brent crude oil futures dropped
$2.97/b on the day to $94.75/b by 4:30pm Singapore time (0830 GMT Nov. 9). On
the Dalian Commodity Exchange, the January 2023 contract was traded at Yuan
7,795-7,875/mt. According to sellers and buyers, low consumer spending due
to inflation has slowed demand. Sources claim that strong dollar has
slowed Asian import demand. Producers claimed they didn't receive any bids
because prices had been in slow decline for six months. End-converters
claimed that US tariffs hampered Chinese exports, while Southeast Asian
finished product orders declined due to low domestic and international demand. According
