The US Federal Reserve's implementation of a 30-day ban on energy strikes involving Russia and Ukraine has not seemed to affect the liquid fuel markets, which have posted their second consecutive weekly gain. The US Federal Reserve implemented a 30-day energy strike ban involving Russia and Ukraine on Thursday. However, the liquid fuel market has not been affected by this. Data compiled by Research shows that benchmark Brent crude for near-month deliveries on the Intercontinental Exchange rose 0.22 percent or US$ 0.16 a barrel to US$72.16 a barrel on Friday. This is up from US$72 a bottle the day before. This is the highest price for crude oil since February 28. Similarly, West Texas Intermediate Cushing futures near-month deliveries on the New York Mercantile Exchange remained relatively steady amid volatility....
