Asia PE - SE Asia prices increase amid firmer offers, China prices remain stable amid thin trading / HDPE and LLDPE prices in SE Asia up to $15/mt WOW / Zhejiang Petrochemical closes LDPE unit

Southeast Asian polyethylene prices rose during the week ending June 25 due to gains in crude oil upstream and stronger offers. HDPE Film up $15/mt on a week-over-week basis at $905/mt, LLDPE up $15/mt to $955/mt, and LDPE up $10/mt to $1,095/mt, CFR SE Asia. Over the past week, new Middle East offers were made for shipment in July. The average increase was $20-$30/mt month over month. Market participants reported that although upstream crude prices have been declining since June 23, amid the easing of tensions between Israel, Iran and other countries, suppliers are maintaining PE offer prices.
