Asian LLDPE - Market falls due to weak buying

low-density polyethylene was lower assessed in week 13 of July. On the
Dalian Commodity Exchange, September 2022 LLDPE futures fell Yuan 30-50/mt
($4.45-5.50/mt), on the day it settled at Yuan 8,005mt Ex-Warehouse. LLDPE
CFR Far East Asia was valued at $1,060-1,100/mt. This was $20-25/mt less than
July 12. LLDPE CFR Southeast Asia, however, was $30-35/mt less at $1,200-1,240/mt. "Supply-side
economics do not add up," a source told Insights. Insights were told
by a source that suppliers could not lower prices as costs are still high. The
CFR South Asia price was $1290-1320/mt which is $10-15/mt less than July 6. The
South Asian region has seen massive flooding...
