On Nov. 24, Asian toluene prices dropped
following a fall in the wider energy sector. The FOB Korea marker is
now down $21/mt to $844/mt, after an offer of $845/mt for 2,000-mt second-half
December loading ASTM D-841 letter of credit. There were no buyers and there weren't any trades. According to industry sources, trade flows between Northeast
Asia and Southeast Asia have been impeded by China's renewed lockdowns. Despite China having relaxed some restrictions earlier,
rising COVID-19 infections have prevented businesses and operations from fully
opening. A trader stated that China
opening up "is like [it didn’t open]". The December spot sale tender by CPC was being offered at
