Asian polyethylene markets experienced few changes in the week to July 9 amid limited trading activity. HDPE film stable at $870/mt CFR Far East Asia, LLDPE stable at $860/mt CFR Far East Asia and LDPE up $5/mt at $1,030/mt week over week July 9. Few offers and trades were heard across the week in both China and Southeast Asia amid trade tariff fears. US President Donald Trump announced that at least 14 countries - mainly in Asia and including South Korea and Japan - will face tariffs up to 40% from Aug. 1, unless deals are struck with the US beforehand.
