According to market sources, the Asia
naphtha market saw new tenders from end users on Nov. 16 as they sought to
satisfy their needs despite the bearish sentiment from low olefin naphtha margins. Japan's Asahi Kasei
Mitsubishi Chemical Ethylene Corp. (or AMEC) was reported to have purchased at
least 25,000 mt of open specification naphtha in January at a premium of $2/mt
relative to the CFR pricing 60 days before delivery. According to market sources, South Korea's YNCC had
purchased at least 25,000 mt naphthas with a minimum of 70% paraffin content for
H1January delivery. The premium was $5/mt to MOPJ naphtha assessment, CFR
pricing, and 45 days before...
