European Gasoline Daily Market Analysis / Gasoline markets fall, Med/North differentials drop / E10 premium drops to E5 while arbitrage is closed

The European gasoline market, particularly in the Med, has slipped in price on paper. However, the arbitrage in the US continues to be closed, despite a slight improvement in physical prices between the two regions. The spread between Euro bob E10 FOB AR barges and RBOB CIF NYH freights rose during the week ending June 18. It reached a new four-week high. Trading was lower on June 19, due to the federal holidays. RBOB weakened slightly during the day, to the London closing on June 20. E5 was trading at a lower premium than E10 in the barge market on that day. A trader in Europe stated that "E5...costs about $7-$8/mt. If you want to sell $10/mt by July, it's better to wait and see if other opportunities are available."...
