The demand for European oxo
alcohols continued to be limited during the week ending July 14. This is
consistent with the fundamentals of market lengths and pricing direction that
have been observed in other parts of the C3 value chains in recent weeks. The downward pressure on pricing continued with
a decrease in pricing across the N-butanol and 2-EH markets. Eur1,475-1,500/mt
FDN NWE was the Isobutanol spot pricing. This is down Eur65-67/mt from the
previous week. It then moves towards Eur1,300-1,320/mt FDD Poland as an indication
of pricing. Delivery costs from Poland to NWE were estimated at Eur80-100/mt.
