Blending demand improved the outlook  Petrochemical demand is still weak 



Sources said that the
Northwest European naphtha Market rallied on April 28 due to strength in the
wider oil complex and signs that the gasoline arbitrage between Europe and the
US has reopened. CIF NWE naphtha cargo price rose 2.4% to
$910-925/mt. The front-month FOBAR Eurobob
swap for naphtha cargo prices rose 2.4% to be assessed at $912-922/mt. This is
an increase of $10.25/mt. A source stated
that gasoline is getting stronger and should clear the [naphtha] markets. Sources say that despite the steady demand for
petrochemicals, there was a decrease in volume. This could be due to propane
being less expensive than naphtha, as well as the high number of turnarounds in
Europe during the second quarter. The $158-164/mt
