Asia's spot
acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene CFR China was assessed stable on the week at
$1,910-1,935/mt and unchanged at $1,960-1,985/mt CFR Southeast Asia on April 6. Despite no firm import
demand, Asian ABS prices are still being discussed in the market. However,
sellers are increasing their offers because of higher upstream prices. On the week of April 6, the offer level was raised by
$20-30/mt to $1,970-$2,100/mt CFR China. According
to market sources, April arrival spot negotiations were almost over before the
Qingming Festival holidays. Negotiations for May arrival cargoes are still not
underway. Market sources claim that South
China's downstream home appliances operations are recovering for refrigerators
and air conditioning, as well as other appliances, near Shenzhen city and
