Despite sellers claiming a slight
improvement in demand since June, the European polypropylene market saw a prolonged
supply week ending July 27. One producer stated that "not
much has changed" from the previous week. We are
seeing more orders than we were in June, and July is slightly better than June. Another
producer stated that the food, packaging, and hygiene market demand is stable
but still limited to the automobile sector. The consumer
was fulfilling minimal contractual obligations and buying only hand-to-mouth.
They also engaged in very little transactional activity. According to
sellers, the propylene market length was making producers of polypropylene less
likely to purchase feedstock material. This led to low liquidity in the chain. In response
