Asian isomer-grade mixedxylene rose
$9.50/mt on day to $965.50/mt FBO Korea, and $990.50/mt CFR China. This was due
to higher crude oil prices and the rolling over of half-month assessment
laycans. The H2 March loading cargoes bids
were pushing higher all day. Offers emerged later in the day. This was despite
April ICE Brent crude oil futures rising by $1.14/b and $85.59/b at 0830 GMT
Asian trade. The downstream paraxylene price rose $2.33/mt
from $56.92/mt CFR China Unv1/China. This resulted in the PXX-MX spread shrinking
$7.17/mt and $58/mt. According to customs data, South Korea exported
99.169 mt isomer-MX in January. This was up from 94.369 mt December and more
