amid feedstock routs After hitting a 40-month peak on March 3, the
Asian paraxylene market saw an uptrend that ended March 4. This was in keeping
with the upstream movement. Asian paraxylene was down $48-54/mt but up $108-120/mt over
the week at $1.221-2.275/mt CFR Taiwan/China March 4 and $1,201-1,236/mt FBO
Korea March 4. The week saw strong buying
interest with the focus on April arrival cargoes. The Asia-origin April cargo between Hengli, GS Caltex and
Glencore Singapore was traded at $1.230-2.275/mt. A second one at the same
price between Glencore Singapore, GS Caltex and GS Caltex was also traded
during the Market. The second trade for
Asia-origin May delivery took place at $1,206-1,240/mt, between Mercuria
Singapore and SKGC Singapore....
