Asian paraxylene fell $86-90/mt during the
day but rose $59.67-65.50/mt over the week to $1,412.50-1,450.50/mt CFR China
on June 10, after reaching an eight-year high at $1,512.83-1,540.50/mt in the
middle of the week. The
market was surprised to learn that four trades for Asia's July cargoes ended at
$1,495-1,520/mt. $1,475-1,500/mt. $1,475/mt and $1,470/mt . All bids were
taken. Yisheng offered July arrival at
$1.495-2.500/mt, and it was increased to $1.458-2.500/mt by Mercuria. Mercuria
also registered an offer for Asiaorigin's August arrival at $1.455-2.500/mt,
and it was lowered to $1.402-2.500/mt at the close of the market. The floating bid for August lay may also disappear after the
