to low trading activity, Asian para xylene was down $2-3/mt at $1,196-1,215/mt
CFR Taiwan/China and $1,175-1,195/mt FBO Korea May 6. The marker closed at $1,195-1,220/mt
CFR Taiwan/China, and $1,175-1,190/mt FOB Korea May 6, $10-12/mt more than the
previous week. The floating basis saw bids
for Asia-origin June arrival at plus $11-12/mt. Offers at plus $15-18/mt were
also heard, both against CFR Taiwan/China's June daily mean. The key para xylene naphtha price spread was influenced by
opposite fundamentals in naphtha and tight supply. It rose 13.26% to $300-320/mt
