OXEA is likely to shut down its Butyl acetate (butac) plant. A source in Germany informed a team member, “The company is expected to undertake a planned maintenance turnaround at the plant over the second half of November 2025 for around 10-15 days. The exact date of the shutdown could not be ascertained.” Located in Marl, Germany, the plant has a production capacity of 100,000 mt/year.
