European xylenes
experienced mixed results from April 22 to 22, due to differences in sentiment
and fundamentals across the value chain. Spot
mixed xylenes are still readily available in Europe, but demand is slow. A trader stated that gasoline blenders are not interested in
MX or toluene. On April 21, a bid-offer
range was made at $40-$65/mt for gasoline with 3% maximum non-aromatic and April
laycans. The MX premiums to gasoline were
stable over the week and lower than the offer level this week. The related gasoline market has seen a decrease in demand
for naphtha due to lower exports to the US. The acute shortage of xylenes continues to affect the
