Asian OX: Demand woes weigh on market / Sinopec listed price drops by Yuan 200/mt / India has yet to buy Dec cargoes

Asian orthoxylene extended its weakness during the week ending Oct. 24, dragged down by slow demand across the region. Asian orthoxylene down $10/metric ton week over week at $785/mt FOB Korea, down $15/mt week over week at $765/mt CFR China, and down $10/mt week over week at $785/ mt CFR Southeast Asia on Oct. 24. The FOB China price was assessed lower by $15/mt at $765/mt on Oct. 24. The OX listed price of Sinopec was heard Yuan 200/mt lower week over week to Yuan 6,100/mt, the second downward adjustment in October, amid the ongoing weakness in downstream phthalic anhydride.
