The price of Asian orthoxylene fell by $60/mt on April 11, in line with a decline in the isomer MX and paraxylene. Orthoxylene was down $60/mt to $920/mt FOB Korea, down $50/mt to $870/mt CFR China and down $50/mt to $880/mt CFR Southeast Asia on April 11. The OX market is experiencing a tight supply, particularly in South Korea and Taiwan. A trader in Asia said, "There are few spot cargoes available now in South Korea... It's hard to get a spot price because nobody can sell". Taiwan's Formosa Chemical &Fibres (FCFC) shut down its 120,000 mt/year Number.
