All markets were showing signs of a weakening in Asian orthoxylene during the week ending July 11. Asian OX $15/mt lower at $865/mt FOB Korea, $5/mt lower at $865/mt CFR China and $5/mt lower at $880/mt CFR Southeast Asia week over week July 11. The laycan was from July 31 to August 20. India showed some interest, but Asia was a little less active. China saw some demand for August shipment cargoes, but the market overall was quiet. Producers and traders offered August shipment cargoes as well to potential buyers. During the week, the number of offers on the market appeared to be greater than the demand.
