Asian orthoxylene remained unchanged amid thin liquidity as the market has yet to start negotiation for November loading materials before the long holidays within Northeast Asia. Asian orthoxylene stable week over week at $810/mt FOB Korea, $800/mt CFR China and $815/mt CFR Southeast Asia on Sept. 26. In China, the domestic OX listed price was reported stable week over week at Yuan 6,400/mt, while the PA market saw ongoing weakness in demand, falling Yuan 50/mt week over week at Yuan 6,050/mt on Sept. 26. One PA producer in China attributed the drop to ongoing bearishness in the downstream demand with a lack of preholiday restocking.
