Asian paraxylene was up $6/mt on the day at
$927.92/mt CFR unv1/China Nov. 29. The January Brent crude futures rose $4.10/b
to $85.2/b, while the C&F Japan Naphtha marker was up $4/mt to $673.50/mt
on Nov. 29. The first two sessions of trading on the Zhengzhou Commodity
Exchange (ZCE) for purified Terepthalic Acid futures showed an upward trend. The January 2023 PTA
contract was up Yuan108/mt or $13.02/mt Yuan 5,166/mt during the afternoon
session. The spread for PX-naphtha was larger at $254.42/mt Nov. 29,
compared to 252.42/mt. Although the PX market was quiet, spread bids were
being made for February in the market. One source suggested that January cargo could be very long
because of South Korean traders offering January cargoes alongside...
