- Oct RBOB extends fall by 9.95c/gal- MTBE sentiments were not uplifting

In tandem with the general weakening of
gasoline, the US MTBE market continued its decline in trading interest on
August 31. FOB
US Gulf Coast MTBE fell 9.95 to 298.08 to reach a record low of 298.08
cents/gal. This was due to falling RBOB futures, which rewrote a new low in six
months. For the second consecutive
session, NYMEX October RBO gasoline was at 243.08c/gal. This is a decrease of
9.95c/gal. The mixed sentiment was evident in
the blending market as the gasoline complex looked weaker, which slowed down
the demand for blend stocks.
