The Asian nylon-6 price surged in the week ended June 18 due to stronger markets upstream. According to sources on the market, offer levels were higher from producers during the week. This was due to a strong rally in crude oil following tensions between Israel and Iran. The market has seen higher offers, but cautious buyers have limited the upside. "Although the price of PA6 has increased, downstream procurement demand is still not strong and limited to necessary basis orders," stated a Chinese nylon-6 manufacturer. Buyers were heard to restock only when necessary, reflecting the cautious mood, while the market awaited a clearer direction in price.
