Asian spot styrene monomer prices were
stable at $1,221-1,250/mt CFR China. The China domestic price was up Yuan
100/mt at Yuan 10,460-10,600/mt Ex-Tank. This equates to $1,348-1,380/mt based
on import-parity July 13. The H2 July/H2 Aug time spread in
China widened by Yuan 100-150/mt and Yuan 655-700/mt, owing to the strong
prompt delivery and low inventory levels. For prompt
delivery cargo, the spread between physical price and the future price was
still wide at Yuan 1,020-12,000/mt premium for August contract future prices,
but it narrowed to Yuan 75-90/mt premium for August contract future prices. Sources
