The US July DDP benzene price continued to
fall, with July DDP benzene dropping 15 cents/gal at 555c/gal on July 6. This
was in spite of a steady drop in WTI crude oil and RBOB gasoline futures. The US July DDP prices
fell to their lowest level in five weeks. DDP
Benzene prices last fell to 542.5 cents per gallon on July 1. WTI crude oil futures dropped by $1.40-2.50/bl, to $98.08-102.50/bl
on 7/7. This was a decrease of 1.43%. The
benzene to crude ratio stood at 2.38, which is higher than the historical
average of 2 and the annual average of 2021. RBOB gasoline futures dropped by 3.06% to close at $3.2270-4.500/gal
