Asian butadiene was stable on September
12th, compared to Sept. 9. Due
to the Chinese public holiday, trading activities were limited. Market participants will be focusing on whether China's
buying habits will continue in the future. For the past few weeks, the Asian butadiene industry has
been driven by Chinese firms. As ethylene
production margins have been increasing in line with rising prices, market
participants closely monitored steam cracker operations. Market participants believe that naphtha-fed steam cracker
operators will not increase their operations as the ethylene downstream markets
have been bearish. The high-density
polyethylene price was stable at $950-970/mt as of Sept. 9. The data revealed that the spread between HDPE & naphtha
