However, the US aromatics market
experienced slower trade momentum as August supplies dwindled further.
September mixed xylenes were offered at 370 cents per gallon. Bids and offers for September mixed xylenes at
370 cents/gal versus400 cents/gal were wide nonetheless. FOB US Gulf Coast mixed
xylenes stood at 362 cents/gal for August layman, in a contango of 10 cents/gal
along with a 372 cents/gal level for Septemberlaycan. Offers for commercial grade
toluene also emerged. A bid was received at 80c/gal for lots of 25,000 barrel parcels, against a bid at 45c/gal, both tagging with September RBOB
gasoline. NYMEX September RBOB slightly rebounded at 293.45c/gal. The
backwardation structure continued to shrink, at 22.28c/gal, despite October
RBOB being at 271.17c/gal.
