CIF naphtha cargoes from Northwest Europe
had limited liquidity as the market was largely balanced by low petrochemical
cracking demand, and low supply. Sources said Nov. 3. One market source stated
that the market was still thin. There is some buying and selling, but not much. A fire was reported at Valero’s Corpus Christi refinery,
Texas. Nueces County stated that response
units were responding to a Valero East Plant fire. CBOB maintained at NYMEX December futures minus 14.3 cents
per gallon. Gulf Coast gasoline prices did not react to the news. Sources say that Asia was experiencing a growing disparity
as low demand for petrochemicals led to lower demand for naphtha fed steam
