Asian MTBE prices rise along with gasoline amid Middle East tensions / Uptrend in the energy complex supports : Chinese FOB Offers Rise

Asian MTBE FOB Singapore is up $7.44/mt from $721.33/mt on June 20. The cash differential remains unchanged at -$0.06/b compared to the previous session for FOB Singapore 92 RON fuel Mean of Singapore MOPS Strip (15-40 Days). Data shows that this is the highest price since April 3, when it was $723.67/mt. Oil prices have been affected by the Middle East tensions. During the same period, sources on the market reported an increase in MTBE consumption by blenders from Singapore and Indonesia. The market momentum in China also increased on the backs of higher production costs and gasoline demand.
