narrows down to $102.25-117.50/mt





Due to higher gasoline prices, the spot
European MTBE flat rate rose Jan. 10. The spot MTBE price was $1,127-1,167/mt. This is
$7-8/mt more than the previous day. The MTBE
premium over February gasoline swap remained steady at $383-403/mt. There was
no activity during the Market on Close evaluation process. According to
a market player, both the US arbitrage to Europe and the Asian one were open on
paper. Asian prices fell $7/mt to $831/mt while supply
and demand were equal in Southeast Asia. In spite of
subdued market activity, ETBE flat prices rose to $1,157.25-1,197/mt FOB Ar
Jan. 10, following the related markets. However, its premium over MTBE remained
stable at $30.25-35.50/mt. The spread between front-month
