Due
to lower crude oil and gasoline prices, spot European MTBE price fell Nov.
9. Due to lower gasoline prices, the European MTBE spot price fell $26-31/mt. The
premium over the front-month gasoline swap remained steady at $264.75-284.85/mt
FBO AR. This is because no activity was observed during the Market on Close
process to disprove MTBE premiums from the previous day. According to an
Asia-based source, MTBE prices in Asia were $983.50-1003/mt FOB Singapore Nov.
9. This was down $40.50-45.85/mt due to weakening gasoline prices. However,
there is a trend towards backwardation for November-December with MTBE costs
starting to fall along with gasoline. ETBE prices dropped to $1,102.50-1,142.78/mt
FOB Ar Nov. 9, following the related markets. The premium remained stable
despite a lackluster spot trading...
