- MTBE premium stays stable- The gasoline-naphtha spread expands by $5.75-6.50/mt



The higher crude and gasoline prices pushed
the European MTBE spot price up on August 23. European MTBE spot prices
rose $16.50-21.50/mt to $1,194.25-1,230.50/mt FOB ARA on Aug. 23, in line with
higher gasoline prices. Market on Close activity did not change the premium. The MTBE premium over the EBOB FOB M1 was unchanged at
$269.25-290.50/mt the day before. MTBE
prices in Asia rose $20.50-25.50/mt, to $1,055.37-1,080.50/mt FOB Singapore,
Aug. 23, due to a rise in crude oil prices and limited liquidity. ETBE prices rose to $1,224.50-1,270.50/mt FOB Ar, following
the trend in related markets. The premium over MTBE remained stable at $30.25-35.50/mt
in a weak spot market. The spread between
front-month gasoline and front-month naphtha increased by $5.75-6.50/mt to $249-270/mt
