Due to lower gasoline prices, spot European
methyl Tertiary Butyl Eth flat prices fell on June 29. European MTBE was valued
at $1,880-1,920/mt FOB ARA. This was $13-17 less than the previous day due to
lower gasoline prices and no activity during the Market on Close. The MTBE premium was steady over the front-month Eurobob
swap at $587.75-600.20/mt. Front-month -- July -- gasoline was assessed lower
at $1,293-1,310/mt FOB ARA. On June 29,
the spread between front-month gasoline and front-month Naphtha decreased by
$15-20/mt to $487-500/mt, continuing to show favorable blending economics. Asia saw MTBE prices fall by $5-6/mt, to $1,366-1,400/mt FOB
