On July 7, spot European methyl Tertiary
Butyl Eth flat prices fell due to selling activity despite an increase in the
upstream energy sector. European MTBE price fell $3-4/mt on
the day to $1,633-1,650/mt FOB ARA due to selling interest. Two outstanding
offers were made during the Market on Close assessment process for 1,000 mt
each at $1,634-1,650/mt. Two trades were made during the MOC
process earlier for 1,000 mt each, at $1,682-1,700/mt. The MTBE
premium was also lower than the EBOB FOBAR M1 swap, which was assessed at
$505.25-525.25/mt. This is $59 less than July 6. The spread between
front-month gasoline & front-month naphtha increased to $339-350/mt. This
