- MTBE premium stays stable- ETBE Demand heard weak





With a falling gasoline complex on August 16,
spot European MTBE prices dropped. The premium
for the September Eurobob gasoline swap was not disproved by activity during
the Market on Close process from Commodity Insights. The MBE
premium was unchanged at $296.25-310.50/mt FOB AR. In line with
the downward trend in the front-month gasoline swap, the outright prices fell to
$1,191.50-1,230.50/mt. This is $18.75-23.50/mt lower than the previous day. According to
market participants, the MTBE market is tight for European T2 products. As the
summer driving season continues, more T1 products was expected to arrive on the
market from East Asia. However, demand for the product is strong. A source said
