- MTBE premium stays stable- The gap between the gasoline-naphtha spread 



Due to lower crude and gasoline prices, the
spot European MTBE price fell on Nov. 8. In line with falling gasoline prices, the European MTBE prices
dropped $24.75/mt to $1,098.25/mt FOB ARA. The premium over the front-month gasoline swap remained the
same at $264.75/mt FOB ARA, as there was no activity during the Market on Close
evaluation process to disprove MTBE premiums from the previous day. Sources indicated that there was a slightly stronger demand
for blending, and that the European MTBE market was well balanced. Sources also pointed out that cargoes were coming from
China. MTBE prices in Asia were $1,024-1,064/mt
FOB Singapore. This was $22 less than the Nov. 8 assessment. This is due to the
