On the back of higher crude oil and gasoline prices,
European spot MTBE prices soared on Nov. 2. European MTBE prices rose
$31.50/mt to $1,100.25/mt FOB ARA. This is due to higher gasoline prices. As there was no activity during the Market on Close process
to disprove MTBE premium, the premium over the front-month gasoline swap
remained steady at $265-$280/mt FBO AR. Despite
China's export negotiations, MTBE prices in Asia rose $23.50/mt to $973/mt FOB
Singapore Nov. 2. ETBE prices fell in line
with related markets to $1.130.50/mt FOB Ar Nov. 2. Despite the slow spot market activity, the premium for MTBE
remained steady at $30.25-$35.50/mt. The
spread between front month gasoline and front month naphtha increased by $20.75-$25.85/mt,
