China Offer heard at $865/mtFOB Asian Singapore MTBE was valued at $903/mt Dec.
2 - $22 less than Nov. 25, due to fewer trades this week. Market on Close
assessed the market Dec. 2 and recorded no bids or offers, keeping the factor
at 1.225. February ICE Brent crude oil futures fell by 62cents/b week to
$85.53/b Dec. 2. The Gasoline 92 –Naphtha Premium increased by
$3.42/mt during the same period at $18.45/b. This could increase demand for
MTBE. According to a trader, market participants expect increased trade
activity between China, Southeast Asia, and the United States in the coming
weeks. They will be focusing on January cargoes, as China relaxes its position
